PAIR OF EGYPTIAN SILVER BES AMULETS.
Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 1069 - 664 BC.
A pair of silver Bes amulets, each modelled as the dwarf_god squatting on an integral rectangular plinth, hands braced on the thighs, and a leonine face with gaping mouth beneath a flat cap with a small suspension loop.

Provenance: From an old British collection formed in the 1990s; previously acquired in France.
