PAIR OF GREEK PERIOD GOLD APPLIQUÉS. Ca. 800 - 500 BC. A pair of gold sheet appliqués, including, from left to right: a circular repoussé disc with a central domed boss within a radiating sunburst of five hatched rays, the interstices dotted with punched pellets inside a stippled border; and a disc centred with a carnelian bead framed by a ring of raised bosses, both with small edge perforations for attachment.
