PAIR OF GREEK TERRACOTTA ASKOI.
Ca. 400 - 300 BC
A pair of terracotta askoi, including, from left to right: an askos with a globular body on a ring foot, a short cylindrical neck with a flat-topped mouth, and a broad arched strap handle, the upper half glazed; and a smaller askos of compact ovoid form with a short neck and flat mouth, a strap handle, and an elongated lateral spout, with an orange slip.

Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired on the Belgium art market; originally in the collection of D Bogaerts, Brussels 1990’s.
