PAIR OF INDUS VALLEY KULLI VESSELS. Ca. 2400 - 1900 BC. A pair of terracotta vessels, each with a bulbous body, flaring rim, and a tapered base. Both vessels are decorated with a double depiction of animals; one featuring ibexes and the other leopards. The ibexes are shown in profile with slender forms and curved horns, while the leopards are depicted with cross hatched patterns across their stretched bodies. Multiple horizontal bands encircle the rim and base, separating the figurative motifs from the undecorated sections.
