PAIR OF INDUS VALLEY PAINTED TERRACOTTA BEAKERS WITH ANIMALS
Ca. 2500 - 1900 BC.
A pair of terracotta beakers, each with tapering body, pronounced foot, and flared rim; painted with two identical animals in profile within horizontal black bands. The left beaker shows antelopes with long horns and red bodies against a lattice background. The right beaker shows stylised ibexes with curved horns, set among various symbols.
