PAIR OF MEDITERRANEAN TERRACOTTA IDOLS Ca. 2nd Millennium BC. A pair of terracotta heads from anthropomorphic idols. Each is formed with prominent round eyes with pierced pupils and a pinched nose. The one on the left has textured hair and voluminous ears projecting from either side of a broad face. The one on the right has an elongated neck, a flaring headdress incised with vertical grooves, and a pointed beard modelled with striations. For similar see: A. A. Picon, J. R. Mertens, E. J.
