PAIR OF ROMAN BRONZE BROOCHES
Ca. AD 200 - 400.
A pair of bronze brooches. The one on the left depicts a horse in profile, shown walking to the left with linear incisions along the neck and mane, and an openwork frame beneath the stomach. The brooch on the right has a cross-shaped form composed of four stylised horse heads with circular eyes and short muzzles, each head projecting from the end of a broad, angular arm.
