PAIR OF ROMAN BRONZE BROOCHES
Ca. AD 300 - 500.
A pair of bronze brooches. The one on the left is a skeuomorphic fibula, cast in the form of an axe with a wide, flaring blade, an arched bow, and a faceted shaft. The one on the right is zoomorphic, representing a double-headed animal decorated with concentric circles.
