PAIR OF ROMAN IMPERIAL EAGLES
Ca. AD 200 . A pair of bronze eagles, each rendered with characteristic hooked beak and folded wings with incised detailing. Both figures adopt a poised, upright stance with slightly arched necks and firmly planted talons. Presented in a symmetrical, commanding posture, each eagle appears perched and alert.
