PAIR OF ROMAN TERRACOTTA OIL LAMPS WITH FIGURAL DECORATION
Ca. AD 1 - 300.
A pair of terracotta oil lamps, each with a circular body, rounded shoulder, and short nozzle. The lamp on the left depicts a theatrical scene with a masked actor, enclosed within a raised frame. The lamp on the right shows a winged mythological creature, advancing left with an arm outstretched, framed by a radiating border.
