PAIR OF SCONCES WITH ANGELS IN ACANTHUS FOLIAGE, BY PIERRE CHIBOUT, LATE EMPIRE PERIOD in chased and gilded bronze. They are depicted with a headband in their curly hair, wings erect, arms raised carrying a lanceolate corolla from which five arms of light emerge, four of which are foliate cornucopias and one in the centre is a quiver, also foliate. Monogrammed on the back (Wear from use, the lower part is missing) A LATE EMPIRE PERIOD PAIR OF ORMOLU WALL-LIGHTS WITH ACANTHUS LEAF ENDING ANGELS BY PIERRE CHIBOUT 57 x 25,50 x 31 CM - 22,4 x 10 x 12,2 IN.
