in gilt bronze, the shaft composed of a winged mermaid in foliage dying in foliage. The mermaid holds at arm's length a twisted stem wrapped in a garland of pampers from which springs a bouquet of three fires in a console with foliage scrolls, surmounted by a pine cone. The oval terrace is decorated with pearled reserves on a blued steel base, with a Wedgwood medallion in the centre. It stands on eight small feet.
