A pair of candelabra in cloisonné enamel on copper. Representing a Sassanid merchant at rest leaning on a ram. The blue enamelled candelabra with polychrome decoration in the form of a coloquinte emerging from stylised clouds. The group rests on a gilded terrace and bears a Qian Long mark. China Republic period. Some wear and oxidation. Height 39 cm, width 16 cm, depth 7.5 cm.
