Pair of officer's flintlock pistols. Flintlock barrels, slightly blunderbussed at the muzzle, stamped St Etienne, and Leclerc canonnier. Round-bodied locks and hammers. Plain chased iron fittings and flat caps. Partly squared walnut stocks. Light wood ramrods with ivory tips (elephantidae spp.). Length: 28 cm; Chopstick weight: 8.2 g; Total gross weight: 1150 g Average condition (oxidation, repair to a stock and wear to the wood). First Empire period. Provenance: Collection of Mr F. EXPERT: Arnaud DE GOUVION SAINT-CYR. // Pre-Convention ivory specimen of Elephantidae spp (I/A), prior to 1 July 1947 and therefore in conformity with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to 1 July 1975 and therefore in conformity with the French decrees of 4 May 2017 and January 2022. If the animal is to be exported from the European Union, a CITES re-export permit will be required, at the buyer's expense.
