Pair of late 17th century NEVERS FAIENCE COVERED POTS, circa 1680
Slightly arched on a pedestal, decorated in fixed white on a Persian blue background with the pharmaceutical inscriptions: Cerat. Santalin et V. Martiatum in a cartouche encircled by a garland of foliage, the neck decorated with a frieze of foliage scrolls and the pedestal with a frieze of foliage; one pedestal restored, small chips restored to the rim of the lids.
