Lot no. 43
Pair of ceremonial clogs
Made of wood, carved, stained and from a single piece of timber. The clogs have been crafted in a very understated style, smooth and without decoration. The toe is carved with a snake, its body undulating, its eyes adorned with nails and a branch engraved on the toe cap. Traces remain of decorative elements that have since been removed.
