Charlotte Perriand (1903–1999) was a French architect and designer. After studying at the École de l’Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, she founded her own interior design firm. She notably worked with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret in Paris in the 1920s, as a partner in charge of fittings and furniture. This experience enabled her to hone her technical skills, knowledge and expertise, thereby allowing her to develop her own style, characterised by a fresh approach and a modern sensibility to design. It is worth noting that throughout her career, Charlotte Perriand collaborated with some of the greatest names in the field. In particular, she joined the Galerie Steph Simon alongside Jean Prouvé and collaborated with Serge Mouille, as well as Francis Jourdain, Raymond Templier and Eileen Gray.
