PAIR OF WALL DISPLAY CASES FROM THE NAPOLEONIC MUSEUM IN THE PRINCELY PALACE OF MONACO First part of the 19th century Mahogany veneered, opening with two doors at the front and decorated with light wood and walnut inlays with garlands and medallions. One decorated with the Imperial Eagle and two profiles of divinities. The other decorated with a trophy of arms, an officer's Legion of Honour and an Iron Crown insignia with an Italian legend. 80 x 100 cm B.E. The keys are missing (small scratches). Provenance : - Former Napoleonic collection of the Prince's Palace of Monaco (1st sale, lot 128) A pair of wall display cases from the Napoleonic Museum in the Princely Palace of Monaco History : These display cases were used to showcase the collection of chamberlain's keys from the First Empire, all of which we are presenting in our sale.
