The illustration consists of an allegorical frontispiece engraved by Picart after Riccio, a portrait of Palladio by Picart after Caliari, and 203 full-page figures, including 15 fold-outs, engraved in intaglio by Cole, Gucht, Harris and Picart. Spidering and rubbing to the binding, a tear to the upper headpiece, corners dulled, two of which have been clumsily restored. Some foxing.
