Joseph Pasquier, wine merchant, and Joséphine Desvignes, owner of the Marquisat estate. In 1939, the family bought Château de Saint-Lager, a former social housing estate, which specialised in wholesale wine trading - Mâcon, Beaujolais, Burgundy and especially the great sparkling wines of the Beaujolais region.The Latour family became part of Pasquier-Desvignes between 1963 and 1987, when it was bought by the brewer Bath. Shortly afterwards, the château and estate were bought by PERNOD-RICARD, before being sold again.
