First edition, with text in French and offering 78 engravings for the first time, totalling 182 woodcut emblems attributed to Bernard Salomon. The title is set in a handsome frame with grotesque figures, typical of Jean de Tournes. The copy appears to have been rebound in its original binding, and is in very good condition. Ex-libris A.
