PARTHIAN GOLD AMPHORA-SHAPED EARRING. Ca. AD 1 - 100. A gold amphora-shaped earring with a flared neck and an ovoid body worked in filigree, and a crescent-shaped cell above the neck. S-shaped scroll handles flank the neck. The body is decorated with extensive granulation, an arcaded band at mid-body, and triangular motifs with granule clusters on the shoulder. A circlet of loops around the lower section suspends globular pendants with ribbed collars and filigree clusters at the termini.
