If you have any difficulty embarking, this letter will serve as a passport; and consequently these gentlemen will not hesitate to grant it to you. When you arrive in Livorno, persuade Madame Elisabetta to return to her homeland and present her with my compliments...". Slight loss of two words, no doubt due to the opening of the letter
