Pascal Paoli (April 1725 - February 1807), general of the Corsican nation.

Having learned that there were few people in Antisanti, I sent Monsieur le Comte Pérès from Campoloro, three or four days before leaving, to try to take it by surprise.... A small skirmish ensued and two of our men were killed, along with three or four of the bandits, including the famous Rossello de Vezzani, nephew of Carlo Giovanni. Here I am organising the troop to get it on the right footing, under the command of Captain Gian Carlo Saliceti... "
