The reverse is richly chased with a lion in a laurel wreath. Opening on a portrait of a lady in profile. The bowl marked "Anchor straight line, 18 jewels, Nikel, Remontoir, Patek & Co Genève, n°44261, Spirale Bréguet". Circa 1890. Hand-wound mechanical movement in working order. Diameter 5 cm. Gross weight 86.66g. (Missing winding mechanism, movement in working order). According to family tradition, this watch belonged to an itinerant theatre director and philanthropist who acquired it at the end of the 19th century and passed it on through his descendants.
