All the same, he had no blood on his hands, like others who benefited from a less explicable indulgence. The execution of Lucien Rebattet would cause a feeling of horror, revolt and indignation in the world of letters, coming after that of BRASILLACH"... Claudel wrote at the top of the letter: "At the request of the lawyer". [Rebatet was pardoned on 12 April].
