At the Convention Center in Las Vegas on 22 November 1965, Floyd Patterson, 30 years old, 89.24 kilos, former world heavyweight champion, attempted to reclaim his title from the current holder, Mohamed Ali, 23 years old, 95.40 kilos. Intense and violent, the confrontation did not go beyond the twelfth round. The referee, Harold Krause, stopped the fight and awarded victory by technical knockout to Ali, the young boxing prodigy whom the press would henceforth dub "the greatest".
All lots are priced inclusive of VAT. VAT, at the current rate of 20%, is included in the auction price. This VAT is recoverable by the French professional. It is reimbursable for buyers from outside the EU on presentation of proof of export from the EU or for professional bidders providing proof of a valid intra-Community number and a document proving delivery in the Member State.
