He was a pupil of Henri-Auguste-Jules Patey (1855-1930), Henri Bouchard (1875-1960) and Henri Dropsy (1885-1969). Author of the Marianne de Muller postage stamp. He was awarded the second Prix de Rome for engraving in medals and semi-precious stones in 1929, and the first Prix de Rome for engraving in medals and semi-precious stones in 1932.
