Martin). Reunion of 3 volumes of the Cahiers de la Quinzaine, forming the first edition of the triptych of the mysteries of Joan of Arc. This review, founded, directed and often written by Péguy, lasted from 1900 to 1914, with a rather erratic publication. It is difficult to classify Péguy in the different schools of his century. A thinker before being a poet, he is close to the last branches of Romanticism for his exaltation, his interiority and his vehemence. Precious copies printed for the magazine's manager, Charles Péguy, bound in Pierre-Lucien Martin's doubled morocco. One of 12 (first part) then 14 copies for the following two on Whatman very strong. Each volume is justified: "First stump copy. Exemplaire du gérant (Péguy)" and enriched with a letter from Péguy to André Bertaut, dated 10 November 1913. The copy is enriched with an autograph letter from Péguy to Gilbert de Voisins, (3 pp. in-8 on 3 leaves pasted end to end). Ex-libris Marcel de Merre repeated on the 3 volumes (Bibliothèque littéraire Marcel de Merre, 5 et 6 juin 2007, n° 419).
