[PELLETIER (Thomas). Discours lamentable sur l'attentat & parricide commis en la personne de tres-heureuse mémoire Henry IIII Roy de France, & de Navarre. Rouen, Jean Petit, 1610. Small in-8 (15 x 10 cm) of 15 pp. paperback, marbled paper cover. Margins short (with occasional minor damage to text). Woodcut portrait of Henri IV to title. Rare edition published in Rouen in the year of the original (concomitant with 5 other editions) of this pamphlet reporting on Ravaillac's attempt on Henri IV's life on 14 May 1610. The text was even translated into English and published in London. Sometimes attributed to Pierre Pelletier or Jacques Pelletier (according to Tchemerzine), the pamphlet is more likely the work of Thomas Pelletier, author of numerous historical and political works about his time. Ex-libris J.M. (Barbier I, 1020; Tchemerzine IX, 159.)
