19th century gold and silver pendant-medallion comprising an oval mother-of-pearl element decorated with a miniature painting on enamel depicting a female face richly adorned with rubies, diamonds and an emerald, surmounted by a clasp set with a line of rose-cut diamonds, the glazed back being suitable for a photograph or a lock of hair, h. 5.5 cm Very good overall condition for a period piece. The mother-of-pearl is slightly frosted.
