CHARIOT-SHAPED GRANDFATHER CLOCK, COURSE ROMAINE, FRANCE, LATE 19TH CENTURY Clock in the form of a chariot, drawn by two horses and driven by a charioteer in patinated metal. The sculptural group made by Xavier Raphanel, rests on a red marble base. The clock was inserted into the chariot, has a white enamel dial with Arabic numerals for the hours, decorated with flower garlands, gilded bronze hands. Movement with metal suspension, striking hours and half-hours on a bell on a part-wheel. H. 52 cm, W. 58 cm, D. 26 cm. To be overhauled, pendulum missing.
