SLEEPING LOVE" CLOCK finely chased gilt bronze. The upper part represents a winged Love asleep in a boat-shaped bed, on tapered uprights imitating quivers. The white enamelled dial shows the hours in Roman numerals and is signed Lefebvre Caters & fils in Tournay. The ocotgonal black marble terrace is adorned at either end with a flaming altar and a libation cup. It is supported by six flattened ormolu ball feet. Empire period.
