Mahogany and ormolu cartonnier clock, the top with a recess incorporating a dial with Roman and Arabic numerals indicating the seconds, supported by two sphinx figures, the base with a curved plan and canted sides with small winged hocked feet; (small cracks on the top). The dial signed Lepaute in Paris. Empire period. H: 32.5 cm, W: 29.45 cm, D: 20.5 cm A similar clock in marble with a richer decoration is owned by the Richard Redding Gallery in Gündisau (Switzerland).
