in chased and gilt bronze, with a circular white enamelled dial with Roman hour markers, set in a cotton bale, flanked by a marine ink and a young sailor hoisting a sail on a boat. Octagonal base decorated with a barrel, oars, ropes and sea anchor, standing on four feet.
