Guilloché and blue enamelled silver clock, Germany early 20th c., the foot and clock separated by a female nude carved in ivory, h. 20 cm Please note that Piguet will not be able to assist buyers with the transportation outside Switzerland of lots containing elephant ivory, tortoise shell or exotic skins. A buyer may not defer payment of the price of these lots, nor request cancellation of their sale, on the pretext that it would be impossible to export and/or import them from Switzerland. Average condition We were unable to test the condition of the clock and its movement. The clock is glued to the cornice of the ivory figurine, forming a column. The figurine is glued to the base. The ivory feet are fixed with a bolt (a nut is missing). Crack in the ivory crossing the foot This lot contains ivory. The ivory trade is regulated. Piguet therefore recommends that buyers inform themselves of the applicable regimes and requirements before taking any action in relation to the purchase or handling of an ivory item. Piguet will not apply on behalf of buyers for exemption certificates, CITES licences, registrations or other necessary documentation, including renewals or updates, and will not arrange import or export permits required for international shipments. The buyer's inability or delay in obtaining the necessary documents or in legally arranging the export or import of the consignment shall not justify cancellation of the sale or delay in payment.
