Description des cérémonies et des fêtes qui ont eu lieu pour le mariage de S.M. Napoléon avec S.A.I. Madame l'archiduchesse Marie-Louise d'Autriche.
Paris, Didot, 1810.
In folio of 3 ff, 45 pp, 13 plates, late 19th century old red half-maroquin.
A handsome commemorative book reviving the traditional festival books of the ancien régime; it recalls the decorum of the marriage proposal, the anticipated festivities in Austria, the departure from Vienna, the meeting with the Emperor on the road to Compiègne and the festivities celebrated in Paris. The description is accompanied by thirteen line-engraved plates based on drawings by Percier and Fontaine: a plan of the chapel and twelve very majestic scenes taken inside the Tuileries or in the streets of Paris.
