Frame 78 x 62 cm, view 64 x 49 cm. Note: Pere Modesto Luis Creixams was born in Barcelona in 1893 and died in the same city in 1965. A self-taught figurative painter, he trained under the guidance of Othon Friesz and was influenced by the Paris School and Catalan painting. He exhibited alongside painters such as Derain, Picasso, Vlaminck, Matisse and Modigliani, from whom he drew inspiration for his portraits. He exhibited at the Salon d'Automne, the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon des Tuileries.
