It is illustrated with a map of the Mont Blanc massif by Charles Vallot and Étienne de Larminat, and numerous handsome photographic vignettes printed in sepia from original photographs in the author's personal collection and, for the Italian side of Mont Blanc, by Vittorio Sella, Gugliermina Frères and Bottega d'arte alpina. Autograph signed letter from the author to Sir George H. Morse. A fine copy. George Henry Morse (1857 - 1931) was an English businessman and politician (he was mayor of Norwich), mountaineer and president of the Alpine Club from 1926 to 1929: it was in this capacity that he was sent this book.
