In good condition. Wear to binding, slight deterioration to leather at upper end of spine, incipient crack to text block, crack to splice of title page, slight damp to margins, some minor soiling. Owner's inscription on front free endpaper. Drawing on twelve years' experience as a cook in St Petersburg for Count Viktor Nikitich Panin, Minister of Justice of the Russian Empire, the author presents more than two hundred local recipes: fish borscht, Polish-style moose, buckwheat porridge, Siberian pelmeni, sturgeon rassolnik, vatrushki with jam, various types of blini and olad'i, bear ham, Lithuanian-style moose, and more.
