SMALL RELIQUARY IN GREEN STAINED SHAGREEN Sheathed in white leather, with two compartments, it contains : - A knight's cross of Saint Louis from the Louis XVI period attributed to Captain Joseph Xavier Broch d'Hotelans (1761-1832). Gold and enamel; small chips D. 39 mm - Gross weight: 18.2 g. T.T.B. In its shaped box. - A Restauration-period silver, gold and enamel reduction of a knight's star of the Legion of Honour (chips). Fluted ring. An enamelled miniature of the Order of Saint Benoit d'Aviz and an enamelled gold Cross of the Lily centre marked "VIVE LE ROI". Provenance : - Joseph Xavier Broch d'Hotelans (1761-1832), captain in the Royal infantry, decorated with the cross of Saint Louis around 1786.
