CHILD'S SMALL SABRE TYPE 1855 OF SUPERIOR OFFICER Belonged to the Imperial Prince Horn handle (watermark missing). Chased bronze mounting. Pommel decorated with a shield engraved with the Imperial Eagle. Single-branch guard with foliate decoration. Flat-backed curved blade engraved 'Palais des Tuileries', with counter-edge, gutter and hollow sides. Iron scabbard with one strap and one ring (oxidised). A.B.E. (Patinated) Second Empire period.
