First complete edition. - Goedeke V, 11, 25 - Mittelstraß II, p. 48 ff. - Hegel attracted a large circle of students during his teaching career in Berlin. After Hegel's death, the inner circle of students united to form the "Verein des Verewigten" (Association of the Eternalised), which saw its main task as the publication of Hegel's works. This edition of Hegel's works contained Hegel's lecture publications for the first time (Philosophy of History, Aesthetics, Religion, History of Philosophy) and created new conditions for an intensive study of Hegel's philosophy. His inner circle of students included P.K. Marheineke, J. Schulze, E. Gans, L. v. Henning, H.G. Hotho, K.L. Michelet and F. Förster. - A supplement by K. Rosenkranz was published 40 years later. - Some spotting, vols. 18-19 detached. Bibl. copy, 1 vol. waterstained, vols. 19, 19/1 and 19/2 from 1887, vols. 1-18 in first editions.
