PHOENICIAN OR CYPRIOT BLACK STONE SEAL Phoenicia or Cyprus, Ca. 1st millennium BC. A rhomboid-shaped stamp seal with Egyptian-style images. There is a bee (an image of the pharaoh) depicted on the back of the seal. The creator god Ptah of Memphis is flanked by uraeus-serpents on the base. Studied by PD Dr. habil.
