Lot no. 4

A TURIN WHITE AND BLUE MAIOLICA DISH, PROBABLY ROSSETTI, CIRCA 1740; DAMAGED AND REASSEMBLED
The decoration of this dish, centred by a small landscape in reserve, is reminiscent of the 'Dutch' decoration of the previous lot: the mould is characteristic of the Rossetti manufacture (see, among others, Campanella, op. cit., for maiolica now in the collections of Palazzo Madama, Turin, inv. 2822/C).
