SERVICE PLATE IN POLYCHROME PORCELAIN, GINORI SHOWER MANUFACTURE, CIRCA 1745-50 from a soup tureen, oval and with wavy, raised rim, decorated with primitive German flowers and insects; little wear and minor firing defects H 4 cm, L 38 cm A SHOWER PORCELAIN DISH, CIRCA 1745-1750; SLIGHTLY WORN, MINOR FIRING DEFECTS The mould and floral 'deutsche blumen' decoration of this porcelain are part of a well-known decorative type characteristic of the early years of the Tuscan factory, the best known examples being the service plates decorated with oriental figures by Jacopo Ligozzi.
