Pierre Chapo was a French designer, cabinetmaker and architect, whose work is highly representative of the design of his time. Chapo worked mainly in solid wood: elm, ash and oak.
He saw wood as a living, noble and expressive material, which he shaped with geometric precision.
His creations are inspired by Romanesque art, the Arts & Crafts movement, Japanese architecture and key figures such as Charlotte Perriand, Le Corbusier and Frank Lloyd Wright.
Our chairs are a fine example of his work from the 60s and 70s.
