Gouache models for the cover of the second edition of La Maison du Retour écœurant, an adventure novel by P. Mac Orlan. Three show a composition with two characters, one of which is dedicated as follows: "sketch superflu pour Mac Orlan en toute amitié Gus Bofa". Another is close to the cover of the edition, with only the head of the sailor Cocotier. A copy of the book (La Renaissance du livre, 1924), paperback, with a dispatch from Mac Orlan to Daniel Morcrette; plus another dispatch to the same author on a detached false-title.
