Pierrots astronomers, France, circa 1900. Folded fan in the style of the painter Van Garden, the black gauze leaf painted with a large gathering of Pierrots in the moonlight. One of them is pointing an astronomical telescope at it. Signed by the painter "N. Fontte" on the right. Mounted in horn and synthetic material. (Missing rivet.) Height 21 cm; leaf height: 12 cm.
