The Italian knight, explorer and writer Antonio Pigafetta (1492-1524) was a participant and chronicler of this voyage. The ital. The Italian version of his report for Pope Clement VII was found by Amoretti in the Ambrosiana in Milan at the end of the 18th century and was published in 1800 under the title "Primo viaggio intorno al globo terracqueo". - Contains, among other things, a "Dictionary (of the languages) of the peoples with whom the knight Pigafetta spent some time on his journey."
